About this course

Our General English courses help you improve your English at any level. We have courses ranging from A1 (Elementary) to C1 (Advanced).

What you will learn

We focus on a mix of:
  • Speaking (build your confidence and your fluency);
  • Vocabulary (improve your range of speech);
  • Grammar (learn correct structure);
  • Pronunciation (fix problems you have with English sounds).
Depending on your class level, you will practice having conversations about:
  • Things about you (where you come from, where you live)
  • Describing your likes and dislikes
  • Family, hobbies, food, and other everyday topics
  • A range of topics such as travel, the environment, arts & culture, and more

We will assign short daily homework tasks for you.

Assessments

We will give you a small test each week based on one of the main language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar).

Feedback

Every 10 weeks, your teacher will give you 1-to-1 feedback about your study progress.

Excursions & School events

Your teacher will take you on regular excursions during class time. For example, you will can visit museums, galleries, parks, galleries, cafes, and more. We also hold all-school events such as BBQs, our Halloween party, and our Christmas celebration!
